" 4.5⭐️ This book hit a lot of buttons for me. Complex femme characters, both within themselves and their interpersonal dynamics, brought together in a remote outdoorsy location, each fraught with their own secrets and traumas that threaten to implode the idyllic holiday facade. This in and of itself is nothing new in the thriller market, however this one is so well written and visceral, with its evocative descriptions of exotic locales and the wild exhilaration of nature, the Greek isles so well captured in this case. Not to mention it’s a foodie book! Lucy Clarke could be quite a travel and a food writer if she ever chooses to go either route. I was literally salivating at all the amazing food and scenery.
Anyway, yes I also really enjoyed the plot and how all the aforementioned secrets and traumas come together. Ultimately this is a book about female friendships…in all it’s often complicated glory. There was way more substance here than I expected. Such a nice surprise of a summer read!"
"At first I thought this was just another book we’ve all read before… you know, a group of friends goes on vacation, they learn dark secrets about each other, ending in murder. While it technically was, it was still worth the read. Good character development and relationships! Lots of unexpected reveals. Hard to put down. "
"Lucy Clarke killed it with this book! So much suspense and tension filled each page and as a reader I felt like I was a fly on the wall looking into the hen party happening in Greece. I loved how the chapters were by the perspective of the 6 friends. At first I was thinking it would be confusing bouncing from each character but it was so easy to follow along and to have each perspective was definitely needed in this book. The side notes in the book made you really over think what was going to happen; but none of my expectations took place.
The ending was NOT what I expected- such a twist and my jaw was on the floor the entire time.
Definitely will read more book by Lucy."
"Lol! This book was awesome! Nicks prospective was so cool along with Mia’s! They were both real people and it was refreshing to read about the guy joining the cheer team instead of the girl joining football"

"When six friends go on a 'hens weekend" in the Greek, sun-soaked island, what could go wrong? From the ocean view property, to the white beaches and swimming, secrets start to emerge. Lexi's wedding is coming up soon, but someone is trying to stop it from happening. And someone won't leave the Island alive.

This book had me hooked from the beginning. I felt like the character were real right away as they all has such vivid personalities. With so many main characters and some names mentioned through the book, I would suggest reading this book when you have time to sit down and read through it, which should be an issue as it was a real page turner!

This book reminded me a tad of The Guest List, so fans of that will love this book! It had suspense, thrillers, secrets, and shows the meaning of friendship between women.

I rate this book as 5"
