"*WARNING THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS* Sarah Dessen can do no wrong for me(unless it's her book That Summer) but we don't talk about that one lol. I was not expecting this one to be as thick as it was lol, but I still liked it. I honestly forgot how long her chapters could be, at first this kind of made it slow to read but then the plot picked up and I was off!! I will say that I didn't like her mom. She acted like a teenager more than her daughter. I get it she made a mistake by getting pregnant at 17/18 but she needed to grow up more, and not be a 32 year old women who decides to go into her daughter's room to "hangout" with her other daughter and make a mess of it at the same time...repeatedly. The fact that she "gossips" with her other daughters about her is a huge no for me. I didn't like her father, he kind of treated Emaline badly and Benji. I get it, school is important but let kids be kids while they still can, its highly unfair to make a child act like an adult. I will say her breaking up with Luke and then 4 hours later kissing Theo was not good for her. I mean come on Emaline, slow down a bit will you? I mean luke did kind of do it first but still don't be a hypocrite! I didn't like Theo, he was overly enthusiastic about basically everything and that annoyed me, why couldn't she have a back bone and say something to "calm him down" most of the time. Ivy was cool, she grew on me. I didn't like how her family was overly nosey with her life. The main reason this book is getting 5 stars from me is because of the the crossover between my top 2 favorite books Along for the Ride and The Truth About forever. Having these people actually interacting was amazing, I mean I know she did a mini crossover with lock and key with the truth about forever also but that was so little and towards the end of LAK that it wasn't enough. But this was just beautiful lol. Sarah Dessen at any point in time can bring be back to the summer and I love it!! Great read!!"
"Started out average, entered a downward spiral and I simply could not tough it out to see if it got better. Honestly I was rooting for neither of the love interests. "

"I thought the book was good, and had many good lessons to it, but I personally wasn’t completely drawn into it. Overall, Sarah dessin did really good with this coming of age book, and I can’t wait to read another one of her books."
