A New York Times bestsellerThe Haunting of Sunshine Girl,in active development for television by The Weinstein Company, a hit paranomal YA series based on the wildly popular YouTube channel about an "adorkable" teenager living in a haunted house. Shortly after her sixteenth birthday, Sunshine Griffith and her mother Kat move from sunny Austin, Texas, to the rain-drenched town of Ridgemont, Washington. Though Sunshine is adopted, she and her mother have always been close, sharing a special bond filled with laughter and inside jokes. But from the moment they arrive, Sunshine feels her world darken with an eeriness she cannot place. And even if Kat doesn't recognize it, Sunshine knows that something about their new house is just ... creepy. In the days that follow, things only get stranger. Sunshine is followed around the house by an icy breeze, phantom wind slams her bedroom door shut, and eventually, the laughter Sunshine hears on her first night evolves into sobs. She can hardly believe it, but as the spirits haunting her house become more frightening-and it becomes clear that Kat is in danger-Sunshine must accept what she is, pass the test before her, and save her mother from a fate worse than death.

"this whole series gives "the chilling adventures of sabrina" a semi-scary young adult book with the perfect amount of paranormal and romance. 100% recommend"

"Audiobook review: <br/>This might be too harsh of a review. This book had potential. Which it did keep my interest as I wanted to see how it ended. Written by a teenager at the time I think I read somewhere. The story line was subpar for me. I liked the name Sunshine. Very 60s/70s. Can’t say much about the characters. They had their ups and downs in development. I think it also said the author narrated the book, ( if not, I apologise if I got the information wrong ) She is to breathy and it irritated me, gritting my teeth with every word. making me want to skip to the end of the book ( which I didn’t because it got really good ) Her breathy reading made the characters somewhat unbearable. I think that's why I didn't enjoy the book so much as I wanted to. I’m not to entirely sure if I will listen to the other books in the series. I give the author kudos for achieving her books publishings at such a young age. <br/>"
"Not so much a "favourite part", but the part that stands out in my memory (and will remain there forever I'm sure) is when the spirit relived being drowned and the brown water running under the door. That part was actually a little scary! lol"
