"An interesting read! Did keep me on my toes and always guessing who was good/who was bad. "

"Need to Know is a quick and addicting espionage / psychological thriller. I wasn't totally sure how I would feel about this book when I read the synopsis, but I really enjoyed it. It's very difficult to put this book down, and I think many readers will feel the same way. I'm stealing Crime by the Book's term "popcorn reads" because Need to Know definitely classifies as that - it has some over-the-top moments, but you just have to know what happens!

Karen Cleveland is a former CIA analyst, and the main character Vivian is a current CIA analyst, so she brings some interesting background and insight to the character and novel as a whole.

My main complaint is that there was a decent chunk of time spent on family stuff that I just didn't care about. I know this is just me, and that a lot of other people enjoy having that connection with characters. When I want family-based books, I read something contemporary or dramatic, and I prefer a little more action in my crime fiction. However, I've read other books that are way more invested in that storyline than Need to Know, so it was still a very fun read for me.

If you're looking for light yet intriguing suspense read, definitely pick up Need to Know. I would love to read more from Karen Cleveland!"
"This is a quick read written by a real life former CIA analyst so it feels very authentic and I’m sure some parts might even be taken from real events. The main character is a mother of four children with a desk job at the CIA identifying Russian sleeper cells. While working she comes across a picture of her husband This leads her into a complicated position of not knowing who to trust. There were a few surprises that made it fun. There was one thing that really bugged me until the end but I don’t want to say anything to give it away."
