The Dragon Queen's reign is one of darkness and death. Humans have vanished under the rubble of their world and if the queen has her way, elves will be next. Eroan, one of the last elven assassins, lives for one purpose: kill the queen. He would have succeeded if not for her last line of defense: Prince Lysander. Now, captured and forced into the queen's harem, Eroan sees another opportunity. Why kill just the queen when he can kill them all? It would be simple, if not for the troubled and alluring prince. A warrior, a killer, and something else..., something Eroan finds himself inexplicably drawn to. Trapped in a life he despises, Lysander knows his time is running out. If the queen doesn't kill him for his failures, her enemies will. There's nothing left to live for, until an elf assassin almost kills him. A stubborn, prideful, fool of an elf who doesn't know when to quit. An elf who sparks a violent, forbidden desire in Lysander. If Lysander can't save himself, maybe he can save the elf and maybe, just maybe... one stubborn elf will be enough to bring down the queen before she kills them all. Duty demands they fight for their people. Love has other plans.

"Dnf

How can it be just as painful to write a review as it was to read this story? I don't want to be harsh but I'm not sure what constitutes as something worthy of being bound in pages but this couldn't have been it. Let's start with just the writing style itself. Pretty much letters jumbled together to form sentences. Didn't matter what they were about. There was no plot, not one that made sense. The Elves are almost extinct but The Order can't partake in relationships. We'll now ya know why their species is going down the drain, no one is using there noggin or anything else. *cough*

*sigh* Should I continue? It won't be pretty.

No world building. There was no culture or richness to the story. Characters were bland and shallow. Nothing made sense or had any thought put forth in it. Maybe I should say something it did have. It had Characters. They had names. I'm not trying to be an ass, I honestly can't think of anything good to say and I usually can find something. This story was all about **** and none of it consensual as far as I read. Every other sentence was mindless screwing. You are basically reading about animals with no higher purpose. The world, the story, and the characters, everything was one dimensional."
"I'm a huge fan of this book. I enjoyed all the characters. This book is pretty messed up and not a typical romance. Lysander is my favorite character. I love him so much!

There is a lot of story to this book, not just sex although there is some of that too. Unfortunately most of the sex in this book is heterosexual and preformed by the leads. There is a lot of attempted rape and some incest. It ends on a cliffhanger, which I did not like at all. There's a lot of Romeo/Juliet stuff where the leads think the other dead. It's a little repetitive by the end instead of building tension, especially when we as readers know they're both alive.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes m// dark romances. Overall it was an enjoyable read."
