Nora Roberts
In a “sexy, suspenseful read,” #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts delivers “a slow-burning fuse of a plot that ultimately explodes in a nail-biting conclusion.”* Shelby Foxworth lost her husband. Then she lost her illusions… The man who took her from Tennessee to an exclusive Philadelphia suburb left her in crippling debt. He was an adulterer and a liar, and when Shelby tracks down his safe-deposit box, she finds multiple IDs. The man she loved wasn’t just dead. He never really existed. Shelby takes her three-year-old daughter and heads south to seek comfort in her hometown, where she meets someone new: Griff Lott, a successful contractor. But her husband had secrets she has yet to discover. Even in this small town, surrounded by loved ones, danger is closer than she knows—and threatens Griff, as well. And an attempted murder is only the beginning... *Booklist (starred review)

"I loved this book. It was a love story,a mystery, a suspense thriller all in one it kept you on the edge of your seat. While feeling like you were visiting old friends or making new ones and loving every minute of it and you could see certain things coming but not all the little details so it leaves you thinking “oh wow didn’t see that part coming” that’s what makes a great book and Nora Roberts has always written great books"
"I’ve never read a Nora Roberts novel and I didn’t realize it would be so heavy on the romance, so it was a lovely surprise. Romantic suspense - what a genre! I loved the tight knit community of Ridge. I really can’t get enough of those charming, quaint small town vibes. While the novel had a slightly predictable outcome, but it really didn’t take away from the story at all. It was fantastic."
"Another day, another Nora. It wasn't my favorite of all her novels I've read, but I enjoyed it, as I always do"
