James Robert Baker
Baker's groundbreaking novel of simmering rage and justifiable violence follows combative ex-lovers Tim and Pete, thrown together on a bizarre trek from Laguna Beach, Calif., to Los Angeles. Sarcastic, satiric, violent, and exhilarating, "Tim & Pete" is a fiercely imagined, boldly realized vision of the cultural war raging in the hearts of the disenfranchised and in the streets of America.

"Fantastic gay romance novel written by a man. I love that women are into gay romance novels, but as a gay man I can tell without looking at the author's name that it was written by a woman for a female audience.
This novel isn't the usual formulaic romance. It is written with all the grit that gay life in the early 1990's had to offer. Gay men were still pariahs and AIDS factored into every aspect of life.
Tim and Pete vividly come to life over the course of one day and night. "
