Following the cycles of history, nature, and even language, North Woods shows the myriad, magical ways in which we’re connected to our environment, to history, and to one another. It is not just an unforgettable novel about secrets and destinies, but a way of looking at the world that asks the timeless question: How do we live on, even after we’re gone?

"This is one of my top 5 books read this year. Stunningly crafted story. Beautiful writing. Weaving place into character, and totally nailing the feel of an old house in upper New England over the course of decades. Brilliant story. Really brilliant, and the ending was so satisfying to watch unfold, I think I read it three times. Can’t recommend it higher. "
"This book was nothing like I thought it would be and I loved it. I can’t wait to read it again!"

"My favorite books are those that go beyond traditional story plots and catch you off guard with twists and turns. Books that make you pause…and think. This book does all the above and then some. There are parts that are slower than others, but pay attention…they all fit together in unexpected ways! HIGHLY reccomend!"
