"(SPOILERS) ok so don’t get your hopes up with this one. it wasn’t bad the heroine is just a little annoying to me she seemed selfish (she practically sent him to his death and is “forced to save him” then she starts to think she likes him like what? She’s crazy and This was all within a span of 2 pages lol and the chemistry between them was good at first but then was really disappointing like the author built it up to be this amazing thing and it just wasn’t what I hoped "

"Unique world-building, average romance "

"I was in a huge reader lock and this book has helped me getting out from it, as I finished it in 3 days.🤗 It's a fast paced book which you will read in no time, full of romance, fantasy and a little bit o humour. I love the friendship and dynamic between some of the main characters and I can wait to continue reading this trilogy. I recommend it to everyone who enjoys fantasy and romance books with a dark touch.🥰🖤 "
"Look I started reading this as an actual book but was so ******* bored after chapter 3 that I switched to audiobook form so I could have it as background noise. I fully admit I zoned out multiple times listening to the molasses-in-a-snowstorm-in-January plot and when I zoned back in literally nothing of importance had happened. Ambrose is interesting but he’s there for like 2 seconds and we learn nothing about him. Con’s self-loathing gets old after page 2 and Lia’s blathering about her dresses drives me insane. Normally I love details about the dresses and court mechanics but this book bored me to tears. The romance isn’t even interesting either—they go from zero to 1000 way too damn fast with no indications that they even like each other. The ending is both abrupt and way too long in coming. Do not recommend."
