"So good! Jennifer A Nielsen is my favorite author and this book was historical fiction so I decided to read it. Glad I did. It took a minute to get into but once it did I was hooked."

"This book is just.... Wow. It has parts that are emotionally challenging to read yet some parts where you can't put the book down. As a historical fiction book it was pretty good. I don't know if I will ever reread it as it was a book that is at its best during the first read.
Jennifer A. Nielson is amazing at connecting you with the characters and making you feel everything they are feeling. It is outstanding.
This is an amazingly interesting and beautifully well written historical fiction novel that I really hope sparks interest to you.
I recommend it to anyone 13+ who likes to read historical fiction. Like I said, it can be hard to read at times so you need to be sure you are a reader who is ready for that. I hope this review was helpful! Enjoy!"
"An amazing and thrilling story that I would recommend to anyone who wanted a good book from a young female perspective. It has such an amazing plot and it was one that I could not put down. I recommend that you be at somewhat of a mature age (I was 11 yet mature for my age lol) just because some of the topics can be hard for young readers. "
