"Good God this book is lame. A woman spends 20 years planning her 40th birthday party, are you kidding me? What a ball of fun she must have been to live with. Then her and her husband are both harboring these life altering secrets just so this snob can carry on with this stupid party. Ugh. I hate myself for reading this. "

"A little slow at times, heart breaking and so beautifully written. Lucia is turning 40 planned for years a huge party. Marnie daughter who lives in Hong Kong plans to surprise her mom and come for the party but her plane crashes 4/5 just because of how slow it is"

"<br/>The title of this book was justly done! I have read some other books by the author and I went into this book expecting it was going to be another thriller. It was my dilemma that I discovered this book was more about family, love and hope. What would you do if you think one of your children has died? Yes, this book was deep and emotional and I wasn’t expecting that at all. The dad decides to not tell his wife about their daughter, because it was her birthday and he wanted his wife to have a final great night. <br/><br/>It was a story of tragedy and loss and grief! <br/>I would recommend this book as it did deliver on the emotional roller coaster, but know what you are preparing for before you read it!"
