"3.5/5
loved the first half of this book so much like I was convinced it was gonna be a 5 star book but I don't know what happened and why the author took that direction like I was here for our unhinged woman main character and then it just completed shifted in the second half I do think this book is still worth the read I was laughing so much I swear me and the main character think so much alike the absolute slander she was dishing out about men had me cackling and her whole out look on dating was so funny our main character just felt so real she was written really well I liked the whole idea of the book it was a quick till the last 20% of the book it seriouslv dragged forever if only it was taken out it would have been so so good"
"This book was highly disappointing. I don't mind unlikable morally grey characters, but they need to be well written and have compelling motivation. Grace, and every other character for that matter, had neither of those qualities. The poor motivations and writing of the characters was made worse by the huge quantities of filler information that added nothing to the novel except for the page count. For a book praised as a darkly funny and feminist book, I found it incredibly dull, tedious and starkly anti-woman."
"this was more like a 3.5 for me, after reading some reviews I agree with the criticism that it’s way too self righteous, the main characters continuously drags modern ways of living… social media, lip fillers, expensive jewelry and designer bags etc and for the most part I didn’t mind but I was like “okay girl chill out a little bit” … but I also kinda liked it because the point of the book is that we aren’t supposed to like the MC she’s literally a serial killer …like she is a very unlikable, psychotic woman and so I feel like all the monologues and all the mean comments just serve to make her more unlikable and more unreliable. idk if that was the point but I kind of enjoyed it. I do wish it was a little faster paced though,it took me twice as long as I wanted to finish but oh well I guess"
"The book was great, the story was good, it was often funny and the twist made for a great ending. the o lot reason it doesn’t get 5 stars from me is because the chapters were horribly long. "

"4.5/5”
I LOVED THIS BOOK. The ending was perfect. Not a happy ending so if you’re looking for that you will fairly disappointed. but for sure an impactful one. Chapters are on the longer side but I believe that was done intentionally and perfectly still. From time line to timeline, Mackie did a perfect job at creating a world in my mind that at points I had remind myself that the characters weren’t real. While the title got me to pick the book up, it was the storytelling that didn’t let me put this one down "
"My favorite thing about it was the humor! I felt the character’s inner monologue was funny without being distracting from the tone of scenes."

"3/5, it started out fun and interesting, and I was really enjoying the vigilante justice, “smarter than thou” unreliable main character vibe. However, by the end Grace had spilled over the line of insufferable. For someone so judgmental and on their high horse over other peoples stupidities, she really came off quite pick-me, constantly going on about how insufferable and stupid the rest of the human race is. And the repetitive droning on about how each individual family member was a selfish, ****** person again went beyond character building and to the point of “Jesus just get on with it we know she’s vapid and selfish!!” To a certain degree I do think this all was intentionally to drive home the twist in the end, but IMO, some of it was just repetitive writing of an annoying character."
