"This is the book that got me hooked on Neal Shusterman. His writing style is unexpectedly hard hitting and profound. I almost gave up on this book after the first few chapters weren’t making sense to me, but I’m so glad I persevered. While it’s not my usual genre, this book was emotionally intense and lingered long after I closed the cover."
"I read this book a while back for school, and it stuck with me so much that years later I sought it out and bought it to reread. It’s a beautiful, deeply painful portrayal of mental illness which feels well described and relatable, while also strangely comforting. Although I do not have schizophrenia, I am mentally ill, and related to his struggles to stay in reality. My only warning is to make sure you are in a good mental state before reading, as (despite being a YA book) it does not shy away from graphic descriptions of his symptoms, and can be triggering."
"This book is supposed to be a YA book but it is so skillfully written I think anyone would enjoy it."

"While this was a great concept and Neil shushterman is a great author I struggled with the writing. I felt like I could skip from page one to one hundred and not know I skipped anything in-between... which I guess makes sense and the context. While I don’t think it is for me I think many would enjoy it. This maybe a future re-read for me."
"Possibly my favorite book of all time. Shusterman has such a way with words and an amazing way of portraying mental health. So many beautiful parts and an overall heartwrenching story line."
