"LOVE IT!!! I can't believe I waited this long to read this series! This was just amazing! Cassandra Clare is a great writer and author! The story was phenomenal, love all the characters. But Will did get on my nerves alot and I honestly didn't like his attitude! But it just added to the story I guess. I can't wait to dive in book 2!! Amazing read!!"

"The writing is good, there is no shortage of banter, the characters are fairly well rounded, the melodrama and romance are slightly less annoying than most YAs, and I freely admit I did not see that plot twist coming... But something about it still just doesn't jive with me. I am 90% sure it was the narrator who did the audiobook, but I think I will hold off on an actual review until I see where the second novel leads me."

"This book pleasantly surprised me! Reminded me why I was a fangirl in high school, and a lot of it was so unexpected, that I didn't see the plot twist of who the magister really was, and that really added to the excitement. I probably should have seen it looking back on it, but either way it was an enjoyable and fun read! My only comment is that I hope in the future (and mind you - I haven't read the Dark Artifices series yet) that Cassandra Clare will write a book with the main character not being unknown to the world of the Shadowhunters! Either way I look forward to reading the second book!"
