"Worst book of them all with a terrible anticlimactic ending. Didn’t like that she switched up her whole writing style for this one in the series. Super boring, don’t waste your time. "

"An excellent third book to the Divergent Trilogy. Kept me interested, and revealed a lot of questions I had during the first two books! Only complaint was it was a teeny bit confusing at times but overall, I would recommend if you want a book that you won’t put down!
*side note: the movie is quite bad… truly a disgrace to the book 😔☹️"
"It’s not that I hated it but I disliked it more than a liked it. It was a slow story and a boring plot. The end was also not as satisfying as I would have hoped. The other two books where amazing though. This book gets a 4.5/10 for me but the trilogy as a whole gets 24/30 when I combine my previous rankings all together."
"When I read the Divergent series this obviously had to be my favorite book of the series."

"I was initially put off by the constant switching between Tris’ and Tobias’ narratives, but I guess it all made sense in the end. I did feel the character development suffered slightly from the sudden shift in style from the previous two books, because the introspection offered by Tris was the real point of interest in these books for me, and so I’m not convinced that the new narrative from Tobias added anything substantial that the previous books lacked. Also, generally speaking, the action sequences and conflict just didn’t seem to hold the same weight as the conflicts from the previous books. It felt too easy and anticlimactic, maybe because there wasn’t as much time to develop the internal struggles when constantly flipping between narratives. I still enjoyed it, and I was surprised and intrigued by the ending. I think the series as a whole holds up, and I’m glad to have read it. "
