In this latest installment of The New York Times bestselling quartet that began with The Beautiful, Pippa journeys to the treacherous and beguiling world of the fey in search of answers but instead falls in love.Following the explosive events of The Damned, Odette faces a vampire’s final death. The Court of the Lions have done everything they can to save her but have failed. A healer from the Sylvan Vale could help her, but only Arjun Desai, as a half fey, can cross the boundary between realms. The Sylvan Vale is a world Arjun despises, and in return, it despises him. But knowing it could save Odette, he returns to the Vale with all haste, leaving the mirrored tare between the two worlds open and unwittingly setting the stage for both love and war. It’s mere days until Pippa Montrose is to wed Phoebus Devereux and become a member of his well-heeled family, offering salvation to her own. But Celine is missing. Pippa has no idea where her best friend has gone, but she’s certain it’s in the company of vampire Sébastien Saint Germain and that Arjun can lead her to them. Pippa enjoins the help of Eloise, the daughter of a powerful sorceress, to discover the gateway Arjun uses to travel between worlds. Pippa, tired of hesitating in life, marches right through in search of her friend. But what she discovers on the other side is a dangerous, duplicitous world full of mischief and magic she doesn’t understand, and most unexpectedly, she finds love. Author of the New York Times bestselling duology The Wrath & The Dawn, Renée Ahdieh is back. The Righteous is the can’t-miss lead in to what will be a much-anticipated finale of a can't miss quartet.

"I liked pippa’s and Arjun’s story but I thought it was a little incomplete. The ending is shocking and honestly out of the blue, but I still want to read the fourth book to finish the quartet. This series is honestly eh compared to the author’s other books I’ve read, and a lot of elements get lost or aren’t really expanded upon, leaving holes in the information. "
"I have to say, although I enjoyed this book it felt jumpy. The characters feel like they have changed in personality with this book. The only one that is consistent is Arjun. And Pippa's character can't decide if she's going to be strong or clueless. There are some good twists in the plot but also lack of follow through. Arjun gets sidetracked in finding a healer when time is of the essence but it actually seems he has a lot of time to find one and is with Peppa instead. Just couldn't figure out what the priority was with this storyline. Hence.... jumpy."

"There's a type of elegance that comes along with reading The Beautiful series. The Righteous is the third installment in this magnificent fantasy, In tune with our obsession with vampires. Author Renée Ahdieh brings a fresh take on these truly compelling beings we can’t seem to get enough of, with her beautiful writing, captivating world setting, character development, and all the surprises along the way. I was so pleased to find out, The Righteous is written through Pippa and Arjun’s point of view, in third person writing. An opportunity to dive deeper into their characters (Arjun most importantly, I’m obsessed) and cause that hyperventilating feeling of ANGST that only the best of novels bring out in us.

I loved, loved this book. Definitely my favorite out of the three so far, and I can only imagine what the next book will be like. It will absolutely, undoubtedly destroy me."
