News' Books to Add To Your Reading List in January Bookbub's Most Anticipated Romances of Winter The Nerd Daily’s Swoonworthy 2022 ReleasesThey were cowriting literary darlings until they hit a plot hole that turned their lives upside down.Three years ago, Katrina Freeling and Nathan Van Huysen were the brightest literary stars on the horizon, their cowritten book topping bestseller lists. But on the heels of their greatest success, they ended their partnership on bad terms, for reasons neither would divulge to the public. They haven't spoken since, and never planned to, except they have one final book due on contract. Facing crossroads in their personal and professional lives, they're forced to reunite. The last thing they ever thought they'd do again is hole up in the tiny Florida town where they wrote their previous book, trying to finish a new manuscript quickly and painlessly. Working through the reasons they've hated each other for the past three years isn't easy, especially not while writing a romantic novel. While passion and prose push them closer together in the Florida heat, Katrina and Nathan will learn that relationships, like writing, sometimes take a few rough drafts before they get it right.

"4/5- absolutely love love LOVE the prose in this book. some lines i would read and reread a line to just savor it’s beauty. also, hearing writers write about writing is enrapturing. i will say the book’s pacing was a bit off. it dragged a little while into the novel and then it would skip “two weeks ahead” or “a month later” and then slowing again. overall, i wish there was more content to the book, like a nice b-plot. you already know the plot coming in, so dragging the suspense and creating unexplained internal character conflicts was the true flaw of the narrative. as a stickler for good quotes and metaphors though, this was a gold mine."
"This one was hard to get through. Less than halfway I wanted to give up but I pushed through hoping it’d get better and never really did. Katrina and Nathan didn’t have much personality so they weren’t very likable imo. If you want a slow read with no humor/comedy and 0.5 spice you might like this."
"this was a cute book! some people said it was slow burn, which I guess I agree, but I was able to finish it in 2-3 days! somewhat predictable but cute! this was friends to enemies to lovers. I liked the duo pov between Nathan and Katrina. I was annoyed with Chris and knew I didn’t like him from the start! overall, I enjoyed it and it kept me entertained so I gave it 4 ⭐️s."
"The authors dedicated this to each other. I feel like it’s the perfect dedication for a book about two co-authors who are secretly and deeply in love with each other. You begin to see the scars of hidden love and unspoken words come to life on a page. It’s a slow burn. I respect the level of integrity of the characters despite their complex feelings for each other. "

"I love and collect books that have anything to do with books and was extremely delighted I received this book with Once Upon A Book March Bookbox.

This was quite enjoyable for me to read. Told by two pics, Nathan and Catrina, who wrote a bestselling romance novel 4 years ago together and haven’t spoken to each other since. Media rumors suspected that had an affair together that ended badly, but it wasn’t until much later we find out the entire truth.

The characters banter was perfect and realistic. Fast read, funny, and charming perfect for all bookworms who enjoy an enemies to lover trope."
"The book of the summer in my opinion. A slow burn that keeps you turning the pages wanting more. Everything I want in a book wrapped up in one"
