"Simply put it was one of the most important warnings for the future. It's written in '48 and now you see what prediction eventually formed into the truth. It's also an easy read, set in a quite familiar yet scary world. Of course it's well written without unnecessary embellishments but each sentence takes you further into the scene. Early on you feel like you are the main character it appeals to that side of us that keeps the secrets and fears them being revealed. I'm not a huge fan of animal farm as much as I am of some of his other works. Burmese days, homage to Catalonia and as a person who likes more biographical work the less mentioned but extremely great Coming Up For Air."
