"I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who likes paranormal romance/urban fantasy! It took me a little while to get into this book, maybe because it really did just have a slow start or maybe because I waited too long to pick this one up after finishing the last one, I don't really know, but once I got about 80-100 pages in things started to pick up. I'm definitely glad I stuck with it because I've really enjoyed this series! This was a pretty big book but it was definitely worth the read in my opinion! I loved getting to see Jem and Tessa! The ending was so emotional, Cassandra did Simon so dirty! I can't wait to see more of Emma and Jules! Next up, The Bane Chronicles!"
"I finally finished the mortal instrument series. It was one of those series that I have been abandoning and coming back to for the last ten years. Overall, I enjoyed it; Cassandra's ability to create characters and worlds and make you care about them is unmatched. The fact that Simon lost his memories was a bit of a curve ball that I didn't enjoy, but it was a creative choice she made, and I respect it. Each and every character was unique and equally lovable in this series. "
"To be completely honest, I liked City of Glass as a finale more than I liked this one. I feel like the first three books were great and the last three not so great. Kind of like Star Wars. I still enjoyed the books but I loved the story (and Jace) a lot more in the first three. (I still love Jace! I named my car after him and will name a future kid after him one day).

I really did like Sebastian. In a messed up, weird way. Even if he's evil. He was attractive evil. I like evil.

The whole Emma & Co. story line though... it was too much. I wanted to skip it every time I had to read about them. It just screams "SEQUEL" and not the good kind.

I don't mind long books, but this one was unnecessarily long. I feel like a lot of stuff was just filling but not substantial. But now I'm going to give The Infernal Devices series another shot. I'm a little intrigued about Brother Zachariah. (A word to the wise: Do not Google anything you don't want to know yet. Now I know who Zachariah is. I swear I wanted to Google something else!)

It's been a great journey. I love seeing where these characters I love go. Clary didn't even bother me as much in this book. That's a plus. But it doesn't quite feel like the end. Maybe Cassandra Clare will surprise us again and add 3 more books. Yes, I would totally read them."
