"This book was an exciting, and mind boggling read. The premise is very creative. I love the spin the author takes the original story. I was expecting this book to be quite boring, and very uneventful. Until I researched it, and I knew it at least wasn’t going to be what I thought. I really enjoyed this book so so so much!! It surprised me. The ending did fall flat though unfortunately. I definitely recommend this book for a bit of a spooky and fun vibe!! Quick and easy read with random fun twists✨"
"I’ve heard of the tale of Vasilisa the Beautiful and her encounter with Baba Yaga, but had never read it. I adore fairytale retellings, and was excited that this one had a darker spin on it. I thought all the nods to the original tale were clever, and I was prepared for how weird it would be based on a review. At times I didn’t understand some of the character motivations and the book got gruesome at the end. However, I enjoyed it a lot!"
