"I have mixed feelings about this book. While incredibly intriguing it was also painfully slow. It was mundane but in the best way. It feels contradictory to explain this book as interesting and boring but that’s exactly what it was. The plot of “virgin birth” seems fantastical but this book explores human connection as its simplest level. Chambers did a great job at explaining desire and how it conflicts with every day life, commitments, and obligations. I didn’t love it, but it was a nice read. "
