"the fun continues! this series is just really pulling me in - I am devouring it so fast! ik there are some mixed reviews on it but I am loving it so far! I do wish cat didn’t have so many near death experiences buuut so much adventure and love and spice and heart AH so good - gotta read the next one now"
"And she lost me. Honestly, I actually still really enjoyed this but did not finish. It felt like a show that had a great ending and got renewed for another season and then dragged that season out for way too long. Like, can't they ever just be happy? There's always another thing coming at them. I can't imagine what their relationship will be like when there's no fire at the door. Kinda boring? I'm sad. But also, not finishing the series. I'll just use my imagination for the HEA."

"I really liked the first one. I was excited for this one, but this didn't hold up to the first book for me. The things I liked in the first were missing from this one. I liked Griffin and Cat together in the first one, but not the second. Griffin wanted to put her behind glass and protect her, even though she's a fighter. This bugged me a lot. I wasn't even sure why until about half way through. <br/><br/>I've read other books where both the hero and heroine are fighters. Those couples were a team. A true team. Sure, the hero might come barging in and save the heroine when he thinks she's on the losing end, but he lets her fight. He knows she can handle herself. This book is the exact opposite up until the end. It drove me nuts. Griffin is always trying to keep her on the sidelines and gets mad when she rushes into battle, even if it's to save him. Sure, I suspected the ending of this and the reason he didn't want her to fight, but it was nonsense to me. <spoiler>Griffin suspects Cat is pregnant and doesn't tell her and he spends his time trying to keep her out of a fight. I get that. If it was upfront.</spoiler><br/><br/>This book was dragged on for me. I'm a little let down and sad. It's an interesting world and I love Greek mythology. Right now, I'm not sure I will be wanting to pick up the next book."
