"I love the Cormoran Strike murder mystery series, and you have to be kind of a fan to tackle a 1,000-page book! Strike runs a detective agency with his partner, Robin Ellacot, and their personal lives always play a great sideline story. Great characters.
This sixth in the series tackles a murder mystery that evolves around online gaming and relationships that are mostly terrible and/or terrifying. The ability to mask real identities online make the mystery even more complicated. Throw in some Alt-right terrorists and there’s a lot going on. This will keep you guessing until the end!"
"Loved the latest Cormaryn Stryke novel. Will Cormaryn and Robin finally get together? Crime centered around the murder of a creator of a Gothic show that was especially popular among teenagers. Suspects were primarily people that knew creators from art school and moderators of a web site focusing on a game based on the show. There was a lot of cyber bullying of Edie, the co creator of the game-very appropriate subject As I am won't to do I guessed wrong Galbraith aka Rowling hit a homerun."

"The final 15% of the book was great. I had to force myself to drudge through it until I got to that though. The audiobook is 32 hours long so I only enjoyed about 5 hours. A case with many suspects is complicated by lots of Twitter feed and in-game messaging where characters use pseudonyms. Maybe reading the print book would be easier to understand? If you read/listen to it, I highly recommend taking notes on who is who."
"Such a slog. I started reading the book the week before Thanksgiving and wondered why I was getting no where. Then I discovered the e-book represented 1460 pages. Who the hell writes a mystery with more than 1000 pages? I DNF’d it at 35%. All I really wanted to see were Cormoran and Robin. What I got were extraneous characters, inert plot, lots and lots of text messages from people I don’t care about, slow going. I’m out."
"I picked this up because I thought the idea of JKR, (masquerading as a man, no less), writing a book about SJWs coming after problematic personalities on twitter sounded more like a ridiculous bit of fan fiction she based on her life given her recent endeavours online. It was a hate-read and I intended to roll my eyes a lot. Turns out I absolutely loved it. Despite being the longest book I’ve read at ~1012 pages, the story never dulled. The characters were all well developed (except maybe kea Niven and Gus upcott) and the writing was enjoyable. I ended up buying the other four cormoran strike novels because I loved this one so much. A truly enjoyable read from start to finish. "
