The killer was still out there. But after the sudden death of a friend, crime writer and author of I'll Be Gone in the Dark, Michelle McNamara, Billy became fed up. Following a dark night, he came up with a plan. A plan to investigate past the point when the cops had given up. A plan to solve the murders himself. You'll ride shotgun as Billy identifies the Halloween Mask Murderer, finds a missing girl in the California Redwoods, and investigates the only other murder in New York City on 9/11. You'll hear intimate details of the hunts for two of the most terrifying serial killers in history: his friend Michelle McNamara's pursuit of the Golden State Killer and his own quest to find the murderer of the Allenstown Four. And Billy gives you the tools--and the rules--to help solve murders yourself.Gripping, complex, unforgettable, Chase Darkness with Me is an examination of the evil forces that walk among us, illustrating a novel way to catch those killers, and a true-crime narrative unlike any you've read before.

"A must read for true crime fans. The author became a bit famous for his role/help in the Golden State Killer search with Michelle McNamara but his life has been dedicated to solving the unsolved. It’s shocking how many people go missing and even more crazy that only 61% of homicides are solved in the US. Citizen sleuths can help, and the author does it on his own dime. "
"Jensen shows surprising empathy and makes profound points. He's also pretty dynamite at crime solving. Missing one star because there's unnecessary repitition here and it jumps around noticably without cohesion. Maybe in his next book he'll find it? I'll be sure to check out his future hwork."
"His writing makes you feel the heaviness and intensity of the cases. And also the the toll it all takes on his life, along with a majority of his time. Even though it's so rare to find the answer, it seems truly worth it to him and it's clear he could not be satisfied doing anything else in life. "
"I picked this book because I had read “I’ll Be Gone In the Dark” by Michelle McNamara, about the Golden State Killer. I knew the author was friends with her and helped finish her book after she died. Besides, I love true crime. His story telling makes me feel like he’s talking to me. You feel everything he does while trying to solve these crimes."
