"I loved the back-and-forth of the poem and then what the big sister would say. It was a very nice way to relay how the inner thoughts of the character, and the reader, could be turned to a more positive viewpoint. Lovely artwork as well, but that's not why we are here; it's just a nice bonus.
This is the first book I've read by this author, but I'm quite sure it will not be the last."
"*I received an arc of this book from NetGalley*

I honestly have never been disappointed by Amanda Lovelace and this book of poetry is no different. I don’t know what it is but I will devour anything that is a modern, feminist kind of retelling of fairytales, I just love them so much."
"Loved this book! If you’re looking for a short read but also something impactful this is for you! As I read along the pages and poems I could relate to many of them and they made me shed some tears. "

"Thank you NetGalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.
"Shine your Icy Crown" by Amanda Lovelace is, the second novel of poetry in the series "You Are Your Own Fairy Tale."
I would give "Shine your Icy Crown" by Amanda Lovelace a 2 star review because 1; the poems are written beautifully but 2; I couldn't connect with any of them."

"I really really love Amanda Lovelace's poetry collections. I think that again this is such a beautiful and poingant collection to follow and the fairy tale inspiration combined with her life experiences creates such a stark contrast.

I will say the only reason I rated this collection a 4 rather than a 5 is because in the beginning there is a comment about the story following sisters and where there were exerts from the big sister to the little sister I was kind of lead to believe that this collection would be more about women's relationship with other women and it wasn't really like that. I still really loved it and lots of bits really resonated but for me it was a little misleading."
