Tahereh Mafi
The breathtaking sequel to the instant New York Times bestseller This Woven Kingdom! Full of explosive magic, searing romance, and heartbreaking betrayal, this series from the award-winning and bestselling author of the Shatter Me series is perfect for fans of Leigh Bardugo, Sabaa Tahir, and Tomi Adeyemi. With the heat of a kiss, the walls between Alizeh, the long-lost heir to an ancient Jinn kingdom, and Kamran, the crown prince of the Ardunian empire, have crumbled. And so have both of their lives. Alizeh, the heir to the Jinn throne, is destined to free her people from the half-lives they've been forced to live under human rule. When Kamran, the heir to the human throne, falls in love with her, he's forced to question everything he's been taught about Jinn. Kamran's grandfather lays dead at the hand of Cyrus, ruler of the neighboring kingdom of Tulan. Cyrus has stolen Alizeh away to his homeland and plans to marry her there, giving her everything she needs to become the Jinn queen--and when she assumes the throne he will have fulfilled his own bargain with the devil. Alizeh wants nothing to do with Cyrus's deal or the devil. But without a way to escape Tulan, and with the fulfillment of her own destiny tantalizingly close, she'll have to decide whether she can set aside her emotions to become the queen her people need. Kamran, meanwhile, is picking up the pieces in Ardunia. Facing betrayal at every turn, all he knows is that he must go to Tulan to avenge his grandfather. He can only hope that Alizeh will be waiting for him there--and that she hasn't yet become the queen of Tulan.

"*WARNING THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS* YESSSSS!!!! I absolutely loved this book, what a way to start off September!! I love how it immediately starts off where the first book ended, especially seeing it from Kamrans pov. The dual pov is just amazing! I need more multiple povs because Cyrus...hello! I know this whole book spans from like 1 to 2, but I did have a problem with Alizeh, like legit started having feelings for Cyrus. Ummm a bit too soon to move on from Kamran, right?! She needs to slow down a bit, okay? Anyways, the fact that Kamrans magic exploded the way it did on his left side of his body, I feel like it's not meaning an "illegitimate heir to the throne" but more like he is connected to Alizeh in some way, you know? I love the little trio Kamran and Hazan "got" lol, this will make for a great 3rd book. The romance and tension between Cyrus and Alizeh is literally burning up and it will engulf in flames!!! I hope Kamran gets to her in time because by the looks of it, she's definitely going to say yes! Ughh I can't wait for the next book, although I don't know if it'll be the last one either way I'm buying immediately or just straight up pre-ordering lol!! Amazing read!!!"
"my favourite read is this year so far, I am still in shock that this whole book took place over two days. I wish there was more, miss Mafi needs to write longer books. Alizeh is as likeable as ever but I do think she lacks a little direction so far but I do think she will be more sure of things come book three. I also wanna know how many books this instalment has? Moving on the over all story is very vague so far, though I love the bits and pieces that we have come to know. Persian mythology will always have me on a chokehold. I personally like series more than shatter me. I do like that Alizeh is so openly kind but also is not trusting of everyone and is just so highly intelligent when it comes to differentiating words from action (in terms of Kamran) then her sense of duty and not willing to give into her attraction with Cyrus. I personally like Hazan more than all the main leads. I think both Kamran and Cyrus are morally grey, Cyrus more so and his secrets are rather interesting. The ending left me speechless and again I cannot believe this book was only over two days."
"Well, I can't say this suffered from second-book syndrome it just suffered from the same thing the first one did. The pacing was excruciatingly slow with the worst part being that there was even less progression in the plot this time. Yet here I am still invested and waiting for book 3 like a nutter.
These Infinite Threads still possessed me to keep going with the character arcs and world-building even though it too, was small. I still wished I could get to know Hazan more. He seems like a key character but gets very little showtime. Yet, I love the dynamic between him and Kamren and even Alizeh. The side characters in general made this story glow. Miss Huda talks incessantly. The kid is obsessed with food and the truth and all are just hilariously oblivious to danger.
Cyrus is added to the queue now. He is tormented and rude and doesn't all girls just love that *sigh*. It was difficult to know who to trust here. This story just added more mystery and raised more questions. So even though I'm complaining I'll be the first to pre-order the next copy. Maybe the plot will pick up but I do have that feeling that the world is bigger than it first appeared."

Oh my goodness! Tahereh Mafi really put her heart into these characters. I absolutely love the way this story is told, I love each individual character, and I’m so incredibly excited to learn more about the world and the magic.
As far as plot goes, this book takes place over maybe 2-3 days, so not a lot is covered. But, that was honestly okay with me! I was vibing along to what we got with Kamran. I’m eager to see what happens with him, and I’m so glad him and Hazan are a team again (with the addition of the quirky Miss Huda, Omid, and Deen)! I hope my man gets some powerful magic his way soon.
But let’s get to the good stuff - Cyrus and Alizeh. I went back and reread chapters 28 & 29 just because of the emotional gut punch they delivered! I am incredibly delighted by this turn of feelings, and I cannot wait to see how their relationship continues to develop. They are true enemies to HOPEFULLY lovers, and I will continue to eat up every crumb of theirs tossed my way.
I adore Alizeh, she really did come out of her shell in this book. Her tenacity, kindness, & courage are so inspiring. She’s such a well written FMC! I especially appreciate that we are not doing the miscommunication trope when she opens her mouth. She speaks honestly and does not seek to hide the truth to spare her feelings, which is such a refreshing POV compared to most other books. I also love the addition of the nosta, so we have that honesty from other characters, but I desperately need Cyrus’ POV!!!
I am so excited for All This Twisted Glory, but also apprehensive because this is an ongoing series and I need more now! Here we go!

"Did an school assignment on this book… it emotionally wrecked me. I love all the characters and the diction. Mafi has outdone herself. I thought Shatter Me was my favorite series but this series one ups it. It’s not as action packed as Shatter me but with complex characters, you keep reading without the suspenseful action, and still can’t get enough. Waiting impatiently for the next book!"
