Jeaniene Frost
The climactic third novel in New York Times bestselling author Jeaniene Frost's Night Prince series finds Vlad and his newly turned bride, Leila, at odds with each other—and vulnerable to the one vampire powerful enough to end the Dark Prince's reign . . .Play with fire, pay the priceLeila's years on the carnie circuit were certainly an education. What she didn't learn: how to be a vampire, or how to be married to the most famous vampire of them all. Adjusting to both has Leila teetering on a knife edge between passion and peril, and now the real danger is about to begin . . .Vlad must battle with a centuries-old enemy whose reach stretches across continents and whose strength equals his own. It isn't like Vlad to feel fear, but he does . . . for Leila, because his enemy knows she is Vlad's greatest weakness. As friend and foe alike align against him—and his overprotectiveness drives Leila away—Vlad's love for his new bride could be the very thing that dooms them both . . .

Twitter || Blog || Pinterest || Tumblr || Instagram || Facebook"
"I love these books. I grew tired of Cat and Bones (sad, yes I know!) and I had liked the idea of a trilogy for this one. Getting a story but not having it dragged through the dirt until you can barely stand to think about the story. So, on that note, I am going to say something I thought I would never say about the Night Prince. I wished this series would have stopped at this book. I felt the conclusion of this book without the surprise twist would have been an excellent end to this series. Instead, we got the premise for the next book and who knows, maybe it will go on from there. Maybe the fourth book won't be the end. I'm just hoping that nothing ruins Vlad for me. Because he's my favorite Vlad.

I did enjoy the book, I never once put it down because I was bored enough to fidget through it. There were some hard things to read and if you've read it, you know the parts I'm talking about. But I'm thankful that wasn't the whole book and that we got to see Vlad and Leila on the hunt.

Bound by Flames (I was seriously expecting the title to go along with the first two, but oh well) was full of action and suspense. It was enough to keep me glued to the pages. There is very little in here that I wish was different (other than the previously stated) and I think the book was good. But after hearing that Vlad's books weren't done when I was expecting a trilogy has put a shadow over the book. That might be an unjust shadow, but I can't help how I felt when I got to the end. It felt like a great ending to a series. You take away that little twist at the end that takes the story down the same road it's been going and it would have been a really great finish for this series. Such a shame. But time will tell when the next book (a year from now) is released and hopefully (with fingers crossed) it won't ruin the series.

"
