"Thrilling, page turner. Quick read. Fairly good character development. I enjoyed that it got me out of a reading slump and was such a fast read. "

"There’s something about the way Miranda crafts her stories that makes me feel so on edge as the reader and for me, this effect makes for the perfect thriller experience. Miranda writes such atmospheric stories that it’s easy to imagine yourself in the setting with the characters but the pacing of the discoveries and twists line up perfectly between reader and character, so I never feel like I’m far ahead of the experiences I’m reading. Hazel, the main character and narrator of this story, made some pretty drastic jumps to get to her conclusions as the ending of the story neared which did leave me a little perplexed and overall gave me some pause as I was circling the ending. Overall, I wish some of these conclusions could have been a bit less jarring so that I could have stayed fully immersed in the story, but having to think/disagree with characters isn’t a deal breaker for me. This was a 5⭐️ read for me."
"I really liked this book. It's the first that I have read from this author... I really liked being creeped out in certain parts of this book. I want more though that's for sure. I will be reading more from her! "

"3.75 stars! It was a very slow story until around 200 pages and then it got really interesting/ fast moving. I liked the ending/ the outcome of the story and the ending of the book. Would have rated it higher if it wasn’t so slow. "
