Miss Minerva Lane is a quiet, bespectacled wallflower, and she wants to keep it that way. After all, the last time she was the center of attention, it ended badly--so badly that she changed her name to escape her scandalous past. Wallflowers may not be the prettiest of blooms, but at least they don't get trampled. So when a handsome duke comes to town, the last thing she wants is his attention. But that is precisely what she gets. Because Robert Blaisdell, the Duke of Clermont, is not fooled. When Minnie figures out what he's up to, he realizes there is more to her than her spectacles and her quiet ways. And he's determined to lay her every secret bare before she can discover his. But this time, one shy miss may prove to be more than his match...The books in the Brothers Sinister series:½. The Governess Affair (free prequel novella)1. The Duchess War1½. "It was cute and I liked the way the plot played out. I didn't like the sex scenes they were written weirdly and I did not like the wording it made me feel icky but there wasn't too much of that so it was okay. There was no miscommunication and that's always a plus even though it very well could have easily been a miscommunication plot but one good thing about this book is that they COMMUNICATE. So yeah overall cute book "
"I really did enjoy this story. Minnie is adorable and so are all the scraps she gets herself into. I love how the the Duke notices Minnie even though she tries desperately to not be noticed. It’s a cute story I’m sure I’ll read again."

"This was seriously a wild ride. I loved this book. Robert and Minnie's relationship is the most adorable thing in the world. Her aunts' love Minnie so much and the friendship between Lydia and Minnie is seriously so heart warming. The book evokes so much unconditional love from so many characters even with the strife both Minnie and Robert have gone through in their lives. It's beautiful and I seriously will be thinking about this book for weeks now that I have finished it. Seriously I think that this will be in my favorites of the year hands down."
