"I am a bit perplexed and amused by Roald Dahls writing. I was grieved by the harsh treatment he received at the hands of authority figures in his life that were heads of religious institutions.

I liked when the author talked about visits to Norway, and time spent with family, along with ornery, innocent pranks of younger year.

Mixed feelings about this book, but I do want to read more of his. I think I will like some of his other titles better than this one.

Don't be decieved by the "Junie B" vibes of the illustrations (as insightfully pointed out by a student). It's much more complex that that."
