"I've been meaning to read a Rainbow Rowell novel for a while now and I am so happy to have finally been able to! I thought it was a great read, and it's definitely one I will be revisiting many times in the future. I love relatable stories and this one spoke to me on a lot of different levels"

"Always love Rainbow Rowell! Sweet story, and I love how Rainbow makes you FEEL the relationship so that you're as desperate as the characters are for a happy ending where everything works out."

"I loved Eleanor and Park, Attachments and I even liked Fangirl but I honestly can't say that I liked Landline all that much. I really didn't like Georgie much because she spent so much time working and she put her career ahead of her husband and her children. I didn't much like Seth because he always had feelings for Georgie but he was too into himself to admit it. I also didn't much like Neil because he was very closed off, didn't like to talk about himself or anything for that matter but he just wasn't very nice to Georgie or anyone except their children. I just didn't like anyone in this book. The story was long, drawn out and there was an ending but I didn't find any satisfaction or reward for making ittothe conclusion. It was actually quite depressing and I would not recommend this title. I would definitely recommend the other three books that I previously mentioned by Rainbow Rowell but not this one!"

"I just stayed up all night reading this and I'm so glad I did. This book reminded me of a Hallmark Christmas movie with a little cursing. It was kinda cheesy but in the best way possible. I would love for Rainbow to write a sequel to see what happened to the characters. Did Georgie start working less? Did Neal find his passion and find his dream job? Did Seth get a happy ending? Did their show happen? Did Heather come out to her mom? So many things left unanswered! It really was a great book though. Perfect for the holiday season but not necessarily a Christmas book."
"This book is eerily timely and parallels my life in creepy ways. Georgie and I are around the same age. We're both good at our jobs, sometimes better at our jobs than we are at being wives and mothers. We take our husbands for granted, but attempt to make up for it in other ways. We both married wonderful men who aren't overly expressive. We both married men who gave up what they wanted so we could have what we wanted, career-wise. My Neal is our children's primary care-giver, too.

There are some books I read for pure escapism. This book was as close to reality that I could get without writing a non-fiction account of my adult life so far. It is a bucket of ice water, wake up call. And I'm grateful for it.

Dear Rainbow,
I do so appreciate your books. The next time you decide to write about my life, however, I'd appreciate seeing my name in the acknowledgements.
Much love,
Lori"
