"I don't know that disliked is the right word. Characters were interesting and the plot was kind of cool, but it felt like I was missing a previous book. Things weren't explained, or discussed even when they needed to be. Also, the emotions of the MC were kind of confusing since sometimes what she was feeling was explained and other times she just did weird things like calling her "sister" a *****. No build up, just dropped the w bomb. So, disliked? Not going to read the rest. There have to be better options for a new book!"
"So this has been on my to be read list for ages. It was one of those books where I couldn't tell if I would really enjoy it or not. I finally took the plunge and I have to say, I'm glad I did. I was surprised, but in a good way. I was afraid this would read like many other urban fantasy books before it, like so many do. Either reading like Twilight or blend in with all those books that had nothing to set it apart.

Rylee was interesting. I'm still not sure what she is, as far as if she's human or not, but she is a tracker. Which means with a picture of a child she's never met, she can pinpoint where they are. Alive or dead. Hopefully alive. Except through the veil. She can tell they are there, but going into the veil is dangerous on a good day. These haven't seemed to be good days. I like her job and I like why she does it. It was interesting and I kept reading in hopes of learning more. A lot was left for the next book or books, but I don't mind. This had a clear ending for this story itself (huge bonus) but it had lingering questions for the next. Those don't bother me. They just keep me interested.

The FBI. It was interesting, this guys obsession. She had been after Rylee for 10 years. 10 years he's followed her. And learned more about her than she felt good with. But the trip was fun and interesting as he continued to stalk her and Rylee upping the ante and trying out the flirting trick her best friend told her to try. Well, that made for some fun watching him react.

Alex. He was a fun character. You expect werewolves to be scary or intimidating and then you get Alex. He's a submissive, but since the change, he's lost a bit of what it means to be human. He's just down right adorable and silly.

I really liked this and hope the second is just as good or even better than this one. It was a nice start, with an introduction to Rylee's world without being overbearing, tedious or dragging the story to a crawl. It was just enough for us to know what kind of world she's in, but not enough to overwhelm. Nice balance.

On to the next!"
