A queen now in exile as a traitor, Lara has watched Ithicana be conquered by her own father, helpless to do anything to stop the destruction. But when she learns her husband, Aren, has been captured in battle, Lara knows there is only one reason her father is keeping him alive: as bait for his traitorous daughter. And it is bait she fully intends to take. Risking her life to the Tempest Seas, Lara returns to Ithicana with a plan not only to free its king, but for liberating the Bridge Kingdom from her father’s clutches using his own weapons: the sisters whose lives she spared. But not only is the palace inescapable, there are more players in the game than Lara ever realized, enemies and allies switching sides in the fight for crowns, kingdoms, and bridges. But her greatest adversary of all might be the very man she’s trying to free – the husband she betrayed. With everything she loves in jeopardy, Lara must decide who – and what – she is fighting for: her kingdom, her husband, or herself.

"Laura really didn’t stand a chance in this book! There was so much action and I enjoyed every bit of it. Once again there was little spice but it was a full description scene like ??? More please???
I don’t understand why these people drug on their grudge they had on her for so long but could literally forgive everyone else!"
"Wow this book as well as the first were so good. Action packed and romance I could just feel the heartbreak and the anguish and the desperation of impossible decisions. I didn't get bored once and the fighting scenes were very well written as well as the tension between the characters. I loved it and I can't wait for book 3."
"This one is even better than the first in the series. It’s a quick read and an interesting story. I felt connected to the characters, especially Lara and Aren. I may have shed a few tears towards the end.
If only I had the stamina and courage to press on in the most trying of times, like Lara does… Parts were nearly unbelievable (especially in the desert storm), but I chalked it up to the story. However, when believability is questioned, I lose the connection with the character because I’m reminded it’s just a story. Whereas, some books I just get lost in the world and never care to resurface. For that, I’d say this is a 3.5. I would’ve like just a bit more spice too. 😉"

"As much as I enjoyed book1, this 2nd book was just everything! I could not put this down!
Lara deemed a traitor queen of Ithecana, banished by her husband, King Aren. Aren held captive by Laras father in Maridrina, as Ithecana is over thrown. Action packed! Kickass heroine Lara fights to the end for Ithecana, for Aren, for her sisters. I loved to see the reunion between Lara and her sisters, how they team up to save Aren. So good! The tension in the romance!!! 👌 just a touch of spice without overtaking the plot.
Lovvvved this book!"
"4.5 stars - The Traitor Queen was quick paced and fun to read, but wasn’t quite as captivating as The Bridge Kingdom."

"How many times does Lara have to save EVERYONE to prove herself worthy? Poor girl getting harassed left and right even though it was Arens fault the letter was sent to the king in the first place?!?"
