"2.5 ⭐️’s. At first this book started off as a love letter to history and had the coolest idea about time travel and the study of history that would make any historian giddy. It involved heists and the Titanic, and I thought I was in for an action packed ride of various history heists. The book quickly changed with the introduction of Elliot, who no matter what, irked me to the core. She was so boring and her sole purpose was to piss everyone off. I was surprised how relaxed the team was about her antics; I would’ve expected a lot more push back. It then went into multi-dimensional territory and I quickly lost interest. The romances were so awkward and unnecessary. They just hindered the plot more than anything. There was nothing that really stood out about the characters. They had one defining character trait and that was it. I think the only character I liked was Imogen. The story picked up a little at the end, but overall it was disappointing. Graudin had an awesome idea about time travel that wasn’t executed well."
