"Another 5 star listen from B. A. Paris with The Guest. I did not see that coming was a common thought and reaction for me while I listened to this one. I really had no clue until the very end of the story and it blew my mind. How B. A. Paris does it is beyond me, but she is SO good with her twists, turns and everything. I don’t want to say much because I went into this without a ton of info beyond the book summary and I think that’s the best way to do it.<br/>Emily Joyce does a fabulous job as narrator bringing the characters to life and drawing you into the story and the world. Listening to Emily Joyce narrating this had me thoroughly invested. I could not stop listening until it was done.<br/>Definitely recommend that you pick this one up when it comes out in February. Thanks to @macmillan.audio for this ALC. All thoughts and opinions are my own."

"This book reminds me of Sandie Jones' The Blame Game--not because of the plot, but because the epilogue is used to introduce answers to questions that we didn't know we had. <br/><br/>Once again, this was a good B.A. Paris read for me. As I stated in a previous review, I have been let down in the past; however, the character and plot development in this one kept me hooked in and made for a one sitting read. No characters (except maybe Marcus? Who is Marcus even?!) felt unnecessary as they all contributed to a thread of the story. <br/><br/>Thanks to NetGallly & St. Martin's Press for this advanced digital copy!"
