"Okay, so this is a Snow White and the Seven Dwarves retelling. Honestly, there are elements of the original story in the book but it is very different. Like I guess it has the essence but it’s not strong. So what I’m saying is the Jennifer Donnelly could’ve gotten away with saying it was an original storyline. It was really boring in the beginning but ended up picking up in the end. There are some things that don’t make sense to me that happen in the book but I won’t spoil that. It could’ve been better. I finished a bulk of this book in a day because it’s rather short and I wanted to be done with it so I could read other books. Not a great retelling, Stepsister was better. But if someone doesn’t like extreme amounts of gore but loves lore this is a good book. "
"To me, such a joy to listen to and I liked a new way telling of the fairy tail of Snow White. Quite a bit of depth in the book and fun characters."
