"loved this! so cute and heartwarming. was mentally yelling at the characters 24/7 (props for the author for realistic character development 👏👏👏). the ending felt a little rushed and prob couldve been better. this book was so fast paced but really short :( i liked it a lot until the end it just feel apart a bit and the resolution felt messy. ⭐️4/5⭐️ (finished 4/2/22)"
"I absolutely adore this book. I just finished it and I can’t even express how many emotions I went through. Annoyance with Bird but with his friends/family too. Heartache with Ollie and Bird’s rocky love story. And even personal relief as the book can relate to emotions on so many levels. The plot was sturdy and there were some deep messages being told if you look for them. But rather than hunting for the messages I suggest reading it once just to read and then going back and skimming. It’s a fantastic book! I highly recommend reading this, especially if you are a queer teenager!!"
"5/5 stars 9/10 stars
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book is about a Nathan: a film loving happy ending cynic, who’s still in love with his ex-girlfriend turned best friend and is an aspiring screenwriter. When his childhood best friend moves back to town after a misunderstanding when they were younger, they start to reconnect. However, Nathan’s dad’s death and still shaky mom have made him believe a happy ending, or even a happy relationship, isn’t possible.
•••
I really liked this book! It was a quick read, had good subplots, wonderful characters, and an understandable romance. One of the main characters, Oliver, is almost completly deaf, so he communicates with people through sign language, talking/reading lips, and reading what someone says though the notes app on their phone. It was super cool to see this kind of representation!! I’ve never read a book with someone almost deaf, so it was so cool to see this point of view.
I definitely recommend for anyone looking for a short, cute, romance about growing up, moving on, and being happy in the moment. Enjoy!

~M"
"This is a great departure from the standard cheap romance novel. Characters are allowed to mature and develop, and relationships ebb and flow throughout the story—making it feel much more like real life. Movie enthusiasts will enjoy the many references the book employs, and the story/ending feels realistic enough. "
"This book gave me butterflies, but the ending was not the strongest. I liked the romance, but I did not really feel anything finishing the book. However, I love Kheryn Callender and their books!"
