"Britney telling her story is great I’m glad she can speak out about things and the book was a great read it took me by surprise I never knew much about her life, but this book really told us what she was going through and its sad for her to have went through all that, but I’m glad she is doing better now and has her freedom from the abuse she dealt with. "Bless her heart. What a raw and searingly honest book. She poured her all into this and it just breaks your heart to hear what was going on behind the scenes and all that she had to endure. I listened to the audiobook and she did the forward. Highly recommend. I’m not a massive fan but we are the same age and I grew up listening to her in high school and college and of course heard all the stories."
"4.5⭐️ listened to the audiobook. Honestly my heart breaks for Britney for so many reasons. She was thrust into such public judgment at a young age for so many unfair, frankly ridiculous reasons. Then her family taking advantage of her. I hope she finds her way, heals and gets the support she needs. It seems she never truly had that emotional, unconditional love and support throughout her ups and downs that were all very much in the public eye. The crippling conservatorship, which was honestly detrimental to her emotional growth and well being. "
"This book was heartbreaking to read. As a medical professional, I can't believe nobody called out the situation early on. I do understand that this is just her perspective so we're missing everyone else's view, however, I idolized her as a child and I'm saddened by her journey. The book is simply written and repeats ideas often, but it's not a hard read."

"3.5 | I wrapped up my summer reading with two biographies, one right after the other. Spears’ biography shed some much needed light on her conservatorship and gave me some wonderful background on her life/beliefs. I closed the book knowing so much more about Spears and wishing her all the best. The nitty gritty: the writing was at best OK, but you can really hear Spears’ voice in the pages. Knocking down 1.5 stars simply because of how it was written, everything else was great! "
