The Double Deuce is the meanest, loudest and rowdiest bar south of the Mason-Dixon Line, and Dalton has been hired to clean it up. He might not look like much, but the Ph.D.-educated bouncer proves he's more than capable β busting the heads of troublemakers and turning the roadhouse into a jumping hot spot. But Dalton's romance with the gorgeous Dr. Clay puts him on the bad side of cutthroat local big shot Brad Wesley.

"I finally watched this 1980's cult classic movie. It ticks all the boxes for an 1980's action movie: Terrible lines, nudity, fight scenes every 10 minutes, explosions, π₯ and a big bad boss who owns the small town. The acting was barely passable. But it was still fun to see the ridiculous story play out. I especially loved watching Sam Elliott prance around as Patrick Swayze's side-kick, tossing around his long hair. Just great. Watch this at least once. Warning: β οΈ cursing, nudity, and sexual scenes."
"Had to watch the cult classic before the remake"

"I watched this in the past long ago, likely soon after release. I rewatched this 1989 Road House original the evening after having watched the 2024 Road House. My personal preferences are the actors and music in this 1989 version over the 2024 version. Both movies have smilarities as well as differences, and I liked both movies equally well, each in its own right. Setting: Jasper, Missouri, however filmed in California."
