"I donโt often hate a movie but I really disliked these stories. They present some odd dystopian tales set in a realistic location. The second story was particularly disturbing. This is three stories told with the same actors playing different roles. Misogyny masquerades as intuition and self destruction to appease the abusive husband. The stories involve control and death. "
"Not Killing of a Sacred Deer great but Yorgos great if that means anything "

"Definitely a unique, surreal experience akin to American Horror story, if one season was three episodes. I enjoyed the ethical chaos, the acting and the connections that were formed between part one, two and three of the story. While it's hard to pull distinct flaws from something that is supposed to be absurd and humorous and rule-bending, I will say, I did not enjoy Kinds of Kindness as much as I enjoyed Poor Things. Take from that what you may, just don't let Willem Dafoe find out."
"Yorgos Lanthimos is an expert in uncomfortable movies that you canโt bring yourself to look away from. So uncomfortable in the best way. Itโs chaotic, disturbing, and unconventional. Iโm always looking for movies with substance, that force you to be uncomfortable while having your full attention, this movie has it all. I definitely recommend this movie. "
"This should have been called Yorgos Lanthimos' Twilight Zone. The acting and directing are stellar as expected when you basically have the same team from Poor Things plus others. The cinematography was also fantastic, I loved the long, wide lens takes with awkwardly long silences sprinkled throughout the movie. My biggest gripe is the pacing and story, I found it to be very slow. Also, it relied way to much on the "shock value". It's overall a solid, experiment from Lanthimos but feels like a step backwards coming after Poor Things. "
"Kinds of Kindness, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, is a 2024 anthology film that delves into the complexities of human nature through three distinct yet interconnected narratives. The film features a stellar ensemble cast, including Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, and Hong Chau, each portraying multiple roles across the segments.
Lanthimos's direction is marked by his signature blend of dark comedy and unsettling narratives. The film's visual composition, crafted by cinematographer Robbie Ryan, employs stark imagery and meticulous framing to enhance the eerie atmosphere. The screenplay, co-written with Efthimis Filippou, intertwines the three stories with recurring motifs and character parallels, creating a cohesive yet fragmented exploration of control, identity, and existential dread.
Kinds of Kindness is a thought-provoking film that challenges viewers with its intricate narratives and thematic depth. While it may not resonate with all audiences due to its unconventional structure and dark subject matter, it offers a compelling examination of the human condition through Lanthimos's distinctive cinematic lens."
"Easily the most fun I've had in a theatre since Poor Things. "
