"A great film biography about the Charlie Chaplin based off his own autobiography written by himself and David Robinson, who is known for his character The Tramp through many silent films and first sound film The Great Dictator where he stepped out of character during the last five minutes to give a great speech! Worth watching as it shows of his controversies and life."
"I feel like Chaplin is one of those movies that has not aged well. Don't get me wrong, RDJ really killed his performance as Chaplin, but it was really hard to sit through the movie and try to be on Chaplin's side as he engaged in relationships with literal children. Sure, Chaplin might of changed the game in the film industry and been influential to many actors of the time. Doesn't mean his actions are justified though. I honestly felt like this movie was making light of the fact he was a p*do and basically brushing it off like it was no big deal."

"Robert Downey Jr. puts in some serious work here, in a picture that will hold your attention even if you don't like Charlie Chaplin films. The story covers a lot of ground and tries to objectively relate facts about the man without hammering on moirés of the time or current judgements. "
