With the aid of his girlfriend, Phyllis Potter, and best friend, Loomis, Grimm enters a Manhattan bank dressed as a clown, creates a hostage situation and executes a flawless robbery. The only thing left for the trio to do is make their getaway out of the city and to the airport. It sounds simple enough, but it seems that fate deserts them immediately after the bank heist. One mishap after another conspires to keep these robbers from reaching freedom.

"This is a decent little comedy that is more amusing than funny. It’s the story of three criminals who encounter a series of mishaps as they try to escape New York after a bank robbery. The most inspired sequence is the robbery itself as Bill Murray, in a full clown costume, deadpans his way through the heist.
Murray talking himself out of trouble and often right back into trouble gives the film it’s only real spark. Geena Davis is solid as female lead but she isn’t given much to do other than be apprehensive. There are also several fun little cameos dotted through the movie.
What really sinks the movie for me is the presence of Randy Quaid, who plays the kind of loud, bumbling idiot that hardly ever works for me comedically. I know he supposed to be the annoying third wheel but I think he’s intended to be endearing. He’s not and I had to fight the urge to fast toward through his scenes.
I like the idea of prime Bill Murray doing a heist gone wrong comedy. I just wished this worked better and/or was more consistently funny. 3 out of 5 stars."
