"Reminder: horror is not my genre so always take these recs accordingly. Got sucked into this as it was described as a horror/comedy. If there was any comedy, I missed it. I guess this would be considered body horror? There’s an obvious theme but I just couldn’t get into it. Stupid and elementary looking FX. Just dragged on. Waste of a Friday night. "
"A horror creature feature film that definitely has a lot of heart at its core. Yea it isn’t your typical kind of scary but self doubt is scary in its own right. I’m biased because I love movies that CAN be seen to be more metaphorical/allegorical and that still have a (imo) good story to tell such as the babadook, monster 2016, the descent etc. this one is a bit more comedic in moments and not as dark but still enjoyable with the right mindset "
"I thought this was pretty good could totally see a movie come out like this in the 80s so it's was a fun to see a modern movie with a weird creature feature type. I was a little bit lost with then ending don't want to spoil but it was low key kinda cute. A good pick for the spooky season and overall pretty good "

"I went into this pretty blindly and had no idea what I was getting myself into which I think is the best way to go with this one. It has a shock value to it to where you almost like WHAT am I watching but then you absolutely can not look away. It’s got an 80s vibe but with an evolved emotionally mature aspect to it to match humans today. That’s all I kinda want to say without giving much away. Something that’s fun to watch but also gives you a-lot to think about. That’s extremely hard to do I feel. "
