Mea Culpa

"2/5 ⭐️ I only watched because 𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 starred in this film. Under any other circumstances I probably wouldn’t given it a chance. She’s not the best actor but she does an okay job here. Trevante Rhodes’ career since Moonlight has been kinda confusing. Such a waste of talent. Don’t expect anything different from the usual 𝐓𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 movie. The overly twisty plot with a predictable sub plot for seasoned thriller viewers such as myself. I understand 𝐓𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 is some people guilty pleasure(mainly women) but I don’t really see why. He literally makes high quality 𝐓𝐮𝐛𝐢 movies but if that’s what you’re into then check this out. #Netflix"

"The leads had pretty good chemistry...so the tension between them felt authentic. Other than that Tyler Perry trots out the same old crime thriller tropes. Of course her marriage is in trouble which excuses her behavior. Of course she is incapable of being seduced by her client. It's impossible for a woman to be around a charismatic man and not fall into a steamy affair with him. He did try to shake things up a little with the most ridiculous twist that totally disregarded all the evidence they told us they had. They didn't make this with me in mind so I'm sure his core audience will eat this up. Everyone should skip this.
