"This was a beautiful rendition of the Christmas story and an incredible musical that got me tapping my feet, smiling and crying. The songs were catchy, well sung and reminiscent of gospel songs I remember hearing in church growing up. My favorites were definitely In My Blood, The Ultimate Deception, and Mother of a Savior and King. As for the acting, I was extremely impressed, especially with Fiona Paloma, Milo Mannheim and Joel Smallbone. The performances were nuanced and humanized such prolific religious figures in a way that was both respectful and realistic. I also love how they imbedded humor into the script. I found myself chuckling throughout, especially in scenes including the Wise Men. "
"I want to point out and say if Tiktok didn’t make the song “the Ultimate Deception” trending I would not have watched this film regardless that I knew about it. Such a great film! The songs were enjoyable and the acting was outstanding! Milo and Fiona had so much chemistry it was impossible to stop watching. "

"6/10
It's pretty clear to me that the songs were written and then they decided to piece them together. That isnt to say the songs arent good. I am also being lenient on the movie in that it is a fairly well known story already. If the movie had been a new concept I would have been disappointed at the lack of story between songs."
"Wow the reviews here on this movie are high. I don't know if I am being too hard on this one. I mostly just thought it was cute but that is all. It kinds reminded me of Joseph's Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat but not quite as good. The character of Mary annoyed me a bit. I liked the meet-cute! I wonder if the actors/singers are more famous than I recognize. I definitely recognized Antonio Banderas and love him. It was just cute but I didn't love it. "
"I got interested in watching this because I heard it was a musical. I’ve never heard a musical about the greatest story ever told. Sure Jesus Christ superstar was about the last days of his life… but a musical about nativity/christmas story? Intriguing. After putting off watching it, I finally sat down and watched it. I was pleasantly surprised in how good the songs were and especially the voices. With in the first few minutes your hit with an absolute amazing voice with a familiar Christmas / church song (no spoiler). And then I come to find out the Herods son is played by one of the singers in “of god and country” who voice is ridiculous and the song he sings is awesome. The movie doesn’t take it self to seriously at times and parts play like a comedy. None of it was disrespectful to the subject and really added a cool layer to this story I’ve never seen included. It was very well done and a fun movie to watch. "
