The Dive

"Boy...I was really hoping that this was a dumb shark attack movie. I was very disappointed, but I watched it anyway. The movie stars Luisa Krause as the lead actress, and Sophie Lowe of Once Upon A Time: Alice in Wonderland. The two actors play sisters who are experienced divers. They go to a beautiful location for a getaway of sorts and one of them runs into trouble. The other sister must figure out a way to get both of them to safety. To be honest, this movie could have been 30 minutes long. The storyline was stretched out to include the beautiful scenes of swimming. I felt that the ocean was the most beautiful part of this movie. It was beautifully photographed. There was very little conversation and you can see that the movie location was one small area. There were a few short scenes that didn't make much sense, that were never explained, and may have been due to the editing, or just lack of story. This is definitely a movie that you could play in the background and not miss much if you leave the room for a short while. If you like underwater 🫧 movies with a little plot, give this movie a try."

"It wasn't bad but one of the sisters did some goofy/mindless stuff. She seemed rather oblivious and not much help in a panicky situation like this one. Exactly what I thought happened. It was alright just stay patient and try to not get too mad haha"

"Going into it I felt like it was just a 47 meters down remake but I actually felt this one was more realistic in a way. However, this movie is more of a 3.5 for me. Felt a little lacking in the back story though. I enjoyed this movie for what it was but also felt it was just missing something to push it over the edge a little more."
