The Swan Princess: A Fairytale Is Born

"Okay, it was kind of cute seeing the original storyline come about. I do think they made the years a little weird, but still. I enjoyed it. I'm not sure I'll watch again anytime soon or even download / listen to any of the songs, but it was cute. I thought it was funny that they finally brought the queen that Uberta hated throughout the series. That seemed like a fun little touch. The dogs were a bit much, yet the story made that added subplot worth it at the end. The kids continue to be pushed aside since their teenagers now which might make it harder for your kids to enjoy. But I don't see that changing anytime soon for the series. Of course it has to let Odette shine. So that ending with her clarifying the moment can be a bit much but at this point that's what you have to expect from the new swan Princess movies. The story does try to bait you into believing one thing throughout. Then when the big reveal comes you're supposed to be thrown for a loop. You'll have hope there is no loop but there is. I won't say anything more since I don't want to spoil it. I will say that since you see so many other kings and queens come about the first movies, "princesses on parade" actually makes sense. No wonder there were so many to choose from when theres that many monarchs just lying about. I'm not sure about the council of crowns yet, but I think the next movie will explain quite a bit more. As for this movie, despite my critique of the ending with Odette explaining, it's actually a great ending for this movie. For the movie they presented they wrapped it up exceptionally well. So that's one thing this movie excels at. Finishing off their story. Which makes it worth the watch. Plus they even through in a few moments from the original movie. I'm their 2d glory. Which honestly felt nice on the eyes. The to be continued written at the end also just made me want more even if it did get a proper ending. So to be continued. . ."
