"I finally watched this classic 1980s movie about a group of high school students that realize there is a vampire 🦇 living next door to one of them. William Ragsdale is the student who is tormented by his neighbor after he finds out about his nightly habits. Amanda Bearse costars as his girlfriend. Chris Sarandon is the vampire in question, and Roddy McDowall is the has been horror movie actor who helps the students catch their "man." I admit that for the type of plot, there is a good amount of eeriness to the movie. The creature makeup is good and the wolf transformation scene is excellent. The plot is wild and of course a little silly, but I still had a lot of fun watching this story unfold. Warning: ⚠️ Brief female nudity."
"Fright Night is another interesting take on the vampire narrative. I love the thought that it’s the 80s and your neighbor is a little sus…vampire sus. This movie can actually be pretty dare I say…pretty sexy at points with the whole vampire seduction thing it’s some of the best vampire seductions senses, I was seduced just watching. Goofy, cheesy, and sexy all in 80s horror package. "
"Creepy, campy, and fun. Love the music in this film, it has a great mood setting element. Love it!!!"

"Chris sarandon and roddy mcdowell are the gems in this movie, as well as the main character’s extremely permissive mother. I’ve never seen mcdowell in anything before but my gaydar went off like crazy. I’ve never heard anybody discuss gay stuff in the 80s that permissively before (a conversation between charley and his mom) and despite the film being heterosexual on the surface, theres definitely an inexplicable queer vibe to it. Also, very sweaty and trashy."
