"A hard watch, but a good reminder that abstinence is not the same thing as recovery for an addict. Getting clean is just the first step- learning how to stay clean, dealing with life on life's terms, healing from past traumas, asking for help, and finding a new way to live are just a few of the hardest parts about being an addict- and that is where you find recovery. Maggie Gyllenhaal did an amazing job portraying all these things and more in this movie. "
