John Waters had basically perfected his unique and strange brand of filmmaking by this movies release, which also truly defined queer cinema going forward. I, for one, am glad one of the most well-known gay filmmakers was making stuff THIS out there and this camp. I think it set the stage for a lot of my favorite pieces of gay media ever."
